Best Practices for USTR China Rates Review Process

The Auto Care Association has announced it will host a webinar for an overview of how to participate in the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Section 301 China Tariffs four-year review comment process. The webinar will take place on Thursday, December 15 at 2:00 PM ET.

The webinar speaker is Edward Steiner, senior director, international trade and government relations, Sandler, Travis & Rosenberg, PA

The review is an opportunity for companies to comment on the impact of the China 301 tariffs on their industry, their companies in particular, and advocate for tariff reduction, the Auto Care Association said.

On Nov. 15, the USTR opened its public comment portal for interested parties to submit comments in its four-year review of Section 301 tariffs on imports from China. The USTR conducts an evaluation of its effectiveness in achieving Section 301 objectives in three areas:

  • Effectiveness of actions and comments across the economy;
  • Industry and Industry Specific Comments; and
  • Product Specific Notes.

In this webinar, participants will:

  • Get an overview of the USTR’s four-year review process;
  • Discuss the submission form and required information; and
  • Learn insightful best practices for formulating product-specific comments.

The webinar is open to professionals from the auto care industry, with a post-recording available only to members of the Auto Care Association.
