BMW revives the best M paint colors for M .'s 50th anniversary

Utilities. The colours. Chinese buyers will get Fire Orange or Stratus Gray for their M4s, while Euro M4 buyers will get Carbon Black, Brands Hatch Grey, Imola Red, Macao Blue and San Marino Blue. Those of us in the US and Canada will be getting some of the more iconic BMW M liveries.

For the US and Canada, only the M3 is available in Edition 50 Jahre specification. Each comes with your color choice from one of the previous five generations of M3. Here’s the list: Cinnabar Red from the E30 M3, Techno Violet from the E36, Deep Interlagos Blue from the E46, Fire Orange II from the E92 M3 Lime Rock Park and finally Limerock Gray from the F80 M3 CS.

Of course, these colors are only for a limited number of pieces. 500 to be exact, so get ready to hit ctrl+r on Bring a Trailer when someone inevitably flips one. Prices start at $96,695 and go up depending on your choice of M3 or M4 trim. As always, they will be powered by BMW’s B58 turbo inline-six, good for 510 horsepower.
