Consumers who buy a mid-sized sedan are looking for a comfortable, quiet cabin, and you don’t need to buy a luxury car to get it. Which automaker makes the quietest new sedans? A recent study by Consumer Reports (by subscription) identifies the: six quietest mainstream sedans you can buy today. The Subaru Legacy 2022 now ranks third in its class, joining the Subaru Impreza as the best noise blocker.
Because it is difficult for car buyers to determine how quiet a car is during a short test drive, Consumer Reports tests all models to determine the best new cars with the quietest cabin. According to CR’s interior noise tests, the regular compact models listed below are the quietest. All six models scored well in road tests, have good reliabilityhave active safety features and scored the best in crash tests†

Why the Subaru Legacy Scores High

The suspension effectively provides a smoother ride and contributes to that silence. The stock (2.5-litre) engine has a muffled hum when you gently press the accelerator, and it only makes itself known when pushed hard for hard acceleration. hard work for power.”
