Good Samaritans pull woman from burning car: PD

BABYLON, NY — A woman whose car caught fire is alive thanks to the good deeds of two bystanders, New York State Police said.

Nancy Brady, 58, of West Sayville, was driving east in a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica on the Southern State Parkway at about 8:29 p.m. on Wednesday when her vehicle veered off the roadway, hit a tree and caught fire, it said. the police.

Observing the gravity of the situation, two Good Samaritans, Christine and Karl Ott of Sayville, took action and rescued Brady from the burning vehicle, police said.

Brady was transported by the Suffolk County police helicopter to Stony Brook Hospital for her injuries, police said.
