Good Samaritans rescue woman from burning car on Southern State Parkway

police say good Samaritans sprang into action and rescued a woman from a burning car in North Lindenhurst.

The incident happened on the Southern State Parkway Wednesday night.

Police said the 58-year-old driver ran out of the parking lot and hit a tree. Her car then caught fire.

Police say Christine and Karl Ott, of Sayville, pulled her out of the fire.

The woman was rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.
