Indian companies can make the best electric cars: Nitin Gadkari

NEW DELHI: Amid reports of US electric car maker Tesla putting its plan to sell its products in India on hold, Union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari said on Saturday the government was never in favor from a company that manufactures its cars in China and sells it here. He said Indian automakers have the ability to produce the world’s best electric cars.
Speaking at an event after witnessing a vehicle crash test in Pune, Gadkari said: “We have all the car brands here. It doesn’t matter if one or two of them are not there.
