According to the 2022 IQS, three pickup truck models receive awards based on what the people who own them think of their overall quality. Below you will find them listed alphabetically by make and model.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The highest quality 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Chevy planned to refresh the 2022 Silverado 1500 light pickup truck, but delayed improvements due to supply chain issues. As a result, Chevy carried over the 2021 model year truck for the first half of the 2022 model year and renamed it the Limited or LTD.

Since JD Power de 2022 IQS Between February and May 2022, most responses came from owners who bought the unrenovated 2022 Silverado Limited (LTD) model before the truck received numerous updates and technology improvements. The redesigned 2022 Silverado 1500 comes in normal cab, extended cab (double cab) and double cab configurations, with short, standard and long load floors. Nine trim levels are available, depending on cab style and powertrain choice. In terms of usage, the latest Silverado can tow a whopping 13,300 pounds, carry a payload of up to 2,270 pounds, and offers both corner steps in the rear bumper and a Multi-Flex tailgate to make loading and access to the spacious cargo bed easier.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado HD

The highest-quality, large, heavy-duty pickup of 2022 is the Chevrolet Silverado HD. It comes in 2500 and 3500 series models; the latter can handle up to 36,000 pounds of towing capacity and 7,442 pounds of payload when properly configured and equipped. You can choose from a regular cab, an extended cab (double cab) and a double cab with a standard or long bed and an axle configuration with single or double rear wheels. Five different trim levels are available.

Unlike the Silverado 1500, the Silverado HD sees only minor changes for 2022. Chevrolet reports that the Multi-Flex tailgate option is now available with all trim levels, the Custom trim adds a power driver’s seat, and Greenstone Metallic is a new paint colour.

2022 Ford Ranger

The highest quality mid-size pickup of 2022 is the Ford Ranger. It comes in extended cab (SuperCab) and double cab (Super Crew) configurations with XL, XLT and Lariat trim. A Tremor off-road option package makes the four-wheel drive (4WD) versions more capable of where the tarmac ends and the adventure begins. A turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is standard in every 2022 Ranger, delivering 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, which is good for trailer towing up to 7,500 pounds and payload up to 1,905 pounds.

This year, the 2022 Ranger Splash appearance pack returns with a new Orange Accent Edition, while the STX Special Edition adds new 17-inch black aluminum wheels. Hot Pepper Red Metallic paint is also new for 2022. It is widely expected that the Ford Ranger will receive a completely redesigned model for the 2023 or 2024 model year.

2022 Ford F Series Super Duty

The most compelling large heavy-duty pickup truck of 2022 is the Ford F-Series Super Duty. It comes in the F-250, F-350 and F-450 model series and in normal cab, extended cab (SuperCab) or double cab configuration. Standard and long bodies with single and dual rear wheel axle arrangements are also available, and buyers can choose from six different trim levels. Depending on the version of the truck and equipment, the F-Series Super Duty can tow as much as 37,000 pounds and carry a payload of 7,850 pounds.

Ford is making numerous changes to its F-Series Super Duty lineup. A new 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with next-generation Sync 4 technology is available, and the King Ranch and Platinum trim levels add 4WD as standard, as does the Limited trim. For 2022, there are also new exterior appearance packages and interior color themes.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz

The most appealing medium-sized pick-up of 2022 is the Hyundai Santa Cruz. A new model for 2022, the Santa Cruz is based on the Hyundai Tucson compact crossover SUV, and it only comes as a double cab with an integrated short load bed. Four trim levels are available, with the top two equipping the truck with a powerful four-cylinder turbocharged engine with four-wheel drive (AWD) as standard. The Santa Cruz delivers 5,000 pounds of towing capacity with the turbo engine and AWD, but all versions of the truck can carry up to 1,411 pounds of payload.

The Santa Cruz is one of the smallest pickups you can buy and is a direct competitor to the Ford Maverick. It drives more like an SUV than a traditional truck and offers many of the same interior features, infotainment technologies and driver assistance systems as the Tucson. Numerous accessories upgrade the Santa Cruz for a wide variety of outdoor activities.

2022 Aries 1500

The most appealing large light pick-up truck of 2022 is the Ram 1500. It comes in an extended cab (Quad Cab) and a double cab with short and standard loading floors. The Ram 1500 is available in seven trim levels, including the Rebel off-roader and the TRX high-performance off-roader. When configured and equipped correctly, the Ram 1500 offers a 12,750-pound towing capacity and a 2,300-pound payload.

For 2022, Ram will give the 1500 a new Clean Air system that filters 95 percent of particulate matter from the air, and nearly all trims offer a next-generation Uconnect 5 infotainment system. In addition, several new special edition versions of the Ram 1500 are available, including a BackCountry Edition for the Big Horn (Lone Star in Texas) trim, Laramie G/T and Rebel G/T models, and Longhorn Southfork, Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, and TRX Ignition variants.

The Ram 1500 Classic is a continuation of the previous generation version of this truck, which dates back to 2009. It is available in three versions and is available in normal cab, extended cab (Quad Cab) and double cab configurations with short, standard, and long buckets. . The maximum towing capacity is 10,620 pounds and the Ram 1500 Classic can carry 1,810 pounds of payload. This version of the truck is unchanged for 2022.
