Hongqi’s range of new models continues swell in China with the launch of the new H6 sedan, which was unveiled ahead of its public debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November.
Those familiar with other Hongqi models: immediately recognizes the familiar front of the H6, thanks to the slanted headlights that fit seamlessly with the large rectangular grille. Other notable details on the front of the H6 include decorative accents around the fog lamps, as well as the large red and chrome badge that runs vertically across the front, as on other Hongqi models.
The sleek sedan has a sleek profile and slippery shape that is crowned at the rear by a sloping windshield and distinctive LED taillights connected by a prominent light bar. Perhaps the most eye-catching aspect of the rear is the bumper with intriguing horizontal strips on either side of the license plate holder. There is also chrome trim instead of a diffuser and then a pair of central tailpipes, also with a chrome finish. The design is completed by a set of large silver wheels with an intricate spoke design.
Only a single powertrain option will be available, consisting of a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that delivers 221 horsepower in the base specification and 248 horsepower in the flagship model. As the car has not yet been officially launched, performance details have not yet been disclosed.
