EAST BETHANY — A person was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester as a precaution after sustaining minor injuries in an accident near 6049 Ellicott Street Rd.
Sheriff’s Office staff at the scene said two people were uninjured and wrote off. A black pickup truck hit a silver sedan from behind.
“Right now there is nothing serious that we believe,” said Sgt. Andrew Hale said about the person who was flown to Strong. “We just want to be on the safe side.”
Hale said both vehicles were heading south on Ellicott Street Road. The driver of the sedan was attempting to turn left into a residence when the truck hit him, spinning the sedan. The pickup driver said the car driver turned on his turn signal at the last minute and the truck driver didn’t see it, Hale said. He said the pickup driver will likely be fined for following too closely.
“There were no signs of disability or alcohol or anything like that,” he said.
The report of the accident came in around 9:30 p.m., Hale estimated.
