Renault Arkana illustrates its perfect mix after winning the ‘Best Hybrid’ category at the Auto Trader Awards

The Renault Arkana has delivered on its ‘hybrid by nature’ promise after owner feedback led it to win the Best Hybrid category at the Auto Trader Awards 2022.

Auto Traders New Car Award 2022 winners were determined by more than 156,000 UK car owners, asking drivers to rate their cars against 16 different criteria, ranging from reliability and performance to looks and running costs. Designed as a hybrid from the start, the Arkana took the win after impressing owners with its contemporary looks that combine coupé style with SUV ruggedness, sophistication and modern features.

Launched in 2021, the Renault Arkana is Renaults first purpose-built hybrid car and the first Renault SUV with coupé styling. Renault refined the design of the Arkana using its experience developing and manufacturing award-winning electric vehicles over more than a decade, while the advanced powertrain also benefits from technical innovations rooted in Formula 1.

Every Arkana sold in the UK features an electrified powertrain: an advanced E-Tech hybrid – accounting for 80% of Arkana sales – and the TCe 140 mild hybrid. Both are mated to a fully automatic transmission, with the Arkana E-Tech hybrid producing 145 hp, returning to 58.9 mpg and emitting just 109 g/km.

The standard specification includes technological advancements such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, with all versions also benefiting from the Active Emergency Braking System, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist. Behind the streamlined exterior of the Arkana hides a practical interior with a luggage space of up to 513 liters and a generous rear seat.

The Arkana is priced from £26,395 OTR.
