Subaru owners say there are 3 areas where their cars are clearly the best

What do owners of Subaru Forester, Outback, Crosstrek and Ascent say about their new four-wheel drive vehicles? A new report from ACSI reveals that Subaru owners say there are three areas where they rank their vehicle higher than all other car brands.

Subaru owner scores from latest 2022 American Customer Satisfaction Index Survey (ACSI) Automobile Study reveal owners say their vehicles are the best in safety technologyperformance improvement and service quality.

ACSI says in the customer satisfaction index that Subaru is the largest (non-luxury) car brand on the mass market, along with Toyota, with a score of 80 points. The ACSI survey and ranking is based on customers’ opinions of their vehicles and the results are reported on a 100-point scale.

Subaru owners rank their cars as the best in safety

Safety remains the most important factor buyers consider before choosing a car brand. It’s what the Subaru brand is most famous for. The 2022 Subaru Forester compact SUV, Outback midsize SUV, Crosstrek Hybrid subcompact SUV, Ascent 3-Row SUV, Legacy sedan and BRZ sports coupe all took the highest Top Safety Pick+ awards from the IIHS this year.

In the new IIHS side impact test, the 2022 Subaru Outback is the only mid-size car to receive the highest ‘Good’ rating. The Subaru Ascent 2022 also scored the highest among the mid-sized SUVs tested this year. Forester earned an “Acceptable” score.

Boost performance

Next on the list of customer experience benchmarks are ride performance, including handling, braking, steering and overall ride quality. Subaru vehicles are known for superior driving dynamics because the boxer engine sits low in the chassis, which lowers the center of gravity. It gives the all-wheel drive exceptional balance, even with increased ground clearance.

Service quality

Customers’ time is precious and they want their vehicles to get to and from the service department as quickly as possible to enjoy their new Subaru. Customers also want to be treated courteously by a knowledgeable service advisor and have a clean, comfortable waiting area where they can relax or work on a laptop. They also want to pay a fair price for routine maintenance and repairs.

You can have the best car, but it can ruin your new car experience if the service quality is lousy. Subaru owners say they also rank their vehicles highest in service quality.

The recent ACSI report also reveals that the Subaru brand is the top-rated vehicle brand for two years in a row for reliability, two years in a row in product quality and top-rated for customer satisfaction.

“We are delighted to be recognized by the ACSI as the number one automotive brand for safety, driving performance and service quality, especially as this recognition comes directly from Subaru customers,” said Tom Doll, President and CEO of Subaru of America.
