Tesla Inc TSLA ranks first in a list of 50 best-selling cars worldwide that tracks owners happiness index, according to Zutobia Swedish online driver training company.
What happened: Tesla’s most affordable Model 3 electric sedan topped the charts with an overall score of 4.53, surpassing the Volvo Group’s XC40 score of 4.5 points.
The Model 3 is the only electric vehicle on the list.
Zutobi gathered reviews from owners of several sites, including Parkers, HonestJohn, Autotrader and Edmunds to compile the final list. Ratings were calculated as an average of each rating site’s ratings.

Why it matters: Tesla is leading the electric vehicle revolution, selling nearly 1 million vehicles last year. The Elon Musk-led company hopes to make at least 1.5 million cars this year.
However, Tesla’s dominance could be challenged by Germany’s Volkswagen Group VWAGYaccording to a Bloomberg Intelligence report.
Volkswagen’s share of electric vehicles already surpasses Tesla’s in Europe, and the longtime automaker must replicate that success in other regions, especially China, where it struggles to grow its share of electric vehicles, the report published earlier this week said.
