The Tata Nexon witnessed the best year-over-year growth of 94 percent
The list of best-selling cars for April 2022 is known. While 10 of the 15 models listed below witnessed sales exceeding 10,000 units, a majority of them got a dent when it came to their year-over-year (YoY) numbers.

Maruti’s entry-level hatchback, the Alto, had sales of nearly 10,500 units, but annual figures fell 40 percent.

The Tata Punch was the last model on this list to break the 10,000 unit sold threshold.

Hyundai sold more than 9,100 units of the Grand i10 Nios. However, this was still lower than the March 2022 monthly sales figures.

With nearly 8,900 units shipped, the Maruti Swift closely followed its Hyundai rival in sales in April. That said, year-over-year numbers fell by the largest margin of 51 percent of all models here.

While Hyundai had shipped more than 11,000 units of the Venue by April 2021, the automaker shipped only about 8,400 units of the SUV in April 2022.

The Mahindra Bolero, with total sales of nearly 7,700 units, was the automaker’s only model to make this list.

Kia’s compact SUV, the Seltos, was last on this list, as the automaker shipped just over 7,500 units in April 2022.
