V8s have dominated the roads for a long time.
When we talk about cars, V8 engines always ask for a special mention. The V8 engine cars still have a special place in the minds of car enthusiasts. Despite being so powerful and efficient in smooth acceleration, V8s are increasingly becoming an endangered breed of powertrain.

Automakers that once relied on V8s for their exotic and powerful cars are now opting for smaller capacity engines to reduce tailgate emissions. Even the Mercedes-AMG C63 switches to a hybrid four-cylinder engine where the mighty V8 disappears.
A V8 engine is an eight-cylinder piston engine in which two banks of four cylinders share a common crankshaft. The cylinders are arranged in a V configuration. Hence the name V8.

Range Rover is not only one of Land Rover’s iconic true blue off-roaders, but is also known for the mighty 3,528cc V8 engine under the hood which was capable of producing 135hp of power. The engine could power the 4×4 SUV. Its massive torque was enough to tow the vehicle over and through any terrain. The engine lasted until 2002.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
The British luxury car tent’s 5.3-litre V8 engine began its journey in 1968 with the DBS. Later it ended up under the hood of the Vantage with 438 hp power. The engine started life with fuel injection technology, but later switched to carburetors in mid-1973.
One of the smoothest and most powerful luxury sports cars of our time is the Audi R8. Its arrival in 2007 was a sensation as it challenged the Porsche 911. The 4.2-litre V8 engine that powers this German luxury sports car was another reason behind the hype.
