'Two Good Samaritans' pull unconscious driver from burning car in York County

“Two Good Samaritans” rescued a man from a burning car this morning after a fiery crash in Windsor Township, York County.

Ethan Johnson of Red Lion and Andrew Saylor of Wrightsville rescued an unconscious man from the burning wreckage of a vehicle collision on Windsor Road, “probably saving the man’s life,” according to the York County Regional Police Department’s Crimewatch website.

A car and a pickup truck had collided and both caught fire when first responders arrived on Windsor Road, according to Dave Stump, the fire chief for Southern Area Fire Emergency Rescue.

According to Stump, both vehicle fires were extinguished after 10-15 minutes and a firefighter suffered minor burns while treating the incident.

He also said the driver of the pickup had a broken arm. Police say the incident is still under investigation.
