Woman charged with driving under the influence of drugs with child in car great story

WARSAW – A woman from Batavia is being charged with a felony after seeing cars drive off the road and found to be high on drugs with a child in the car, Wyoming County sheriff deputies said.

Deputies received reports that a car on Dale Road was driving erratically and forcing other cars off the road on Friday.

Officers saw the car as it entered the village and stopped it on North Main Street.

The driver, Tiffany M. Walter, 31, showed signs of impairment and had a 9-year-old in her car.

She failed the field sobriety tests and was taken to the Sheriff’s Department, where a drug-recognition expert determined she was high on a variety of drugs.

She was charged with aggravated DWI with a child in the car, a misdemeanor, driving under the influence of drugs, driving under the influence of a combined drug, reckless driving, cannabis use in a car, obscured driver vision and tracking too closely.

She is due to appear in court on Monday.
